Terms and Conditions
Women Work & Wealth Institute, also referred to (WWWI), is a not-for-profit corporation registered in Canada under the Canada Not for profit Corporations Act, with its head office located in Toronto, Ontario. In these Terms and Conditions, “we”, “us”, and “WWWI” refer to Women Work & Wealth Institute.
By accessing or using this website, registering for membership, participating in programs, or clicking “I Agree” where applicable, you are entering into a binding agreement with Women Work & Wealth Institute (the “Agreement”). This Agreement governs your membership in Women Work & Wealth Institute, your participation in Women Work & Wealth Institute programs and activities, and your use of this website and all materials made available through it.
This Agreement applies to your use of the website and all written, visual, audio, and digital materials displayed on or made available through the website, including but not limited to text, images, audio and video clips, software, and code, whether owned by Women Work & Wealth Institute or by third parties (the “Content”).
The rights and obligations of members and participants are governed by Women Work & Wealth Institute’s Articles of Incorporation, as amended, and its Bylaws. This Agreement clarifies and supplements those governing documents. In the event of any inconsistency, the Articles of Incorporation will prevail, followed by the Bylaws, and then this Agreement.
Women Work & Wealth Institute may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this website and will take effect upon posting. Continued use of the website, membership, or participation in Women Work & Wealth Institute programs after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions. You are encouraged to review this page periodically.
1. Purpose
Women Work & Wealth Institute, is a learning, leadership, and systems change organization committed to advancing economic security, equity, and wellbeing across women’s working lives.
This Membership Policy and Code of Conduct sets expectations for participation, protects the integrity of Women Work & Wealth Institute programs and spaces, and supports respectful, accountable engagement among members, participants, partners, and staff.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all individuals who:
• Hold a Women Work & Wealth Institute membership
• Participate in Women Work & Wealth Institute programs, cohorts, workshops, or events
• Engage in Women Work & Wealth Institute facilitated spaces, online platforms, or community forums • Represent Women Work & Wealth Institute in any formal or informal capacity
Participation in Women Work & Wealth Institute constitutes agreement to comply with this policy.
3. Nature of Membership
Women Work & Wealth Institute membership provides access to learning opportunities, facilitated spaces, and community engagement.
Membership does not:
• Create an employment, agency, or advisory relationship
• Provide legal, financial, medical, or professional advice
• Confer authority to speak on behalf of Women Work & Wealth Institute
• Guarantee access to specific programs or services
Women Work & Wealth Institute reserves the right to determine eligibility, participation, and continuation of membership
4. Member Responsibilities
Members are expected to:
• Engage respectfully with staff, facilitators, and other participants
• Participate in good faith and with accountability
• Respect differences in lived experience, identity, and perspective
• Maintain confidentiality of personal information shared in group settings
• Follow program boundaries, facilitation guidelines, and stated scope of services
Members are responsible for their own decisions, actions, and outcomes arising from participation.
5. Membership Principles
Women Work & Wealth Institute membership is grounded in the following principles:
• Respect for lived experience
• Equity, inclusion, and dignity
• Accountability and responsibility
• Learning without shame or harm
• Confidentiality and trust
• Non exploitation and ethical engagement
Membership does not confer employment, representation, legal advice, or advocacy authority.
6. Code of Conduct
Women Work & Wealth Institute is committed to creating safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces.
The following behaviors are required in all Women Work & Wealth Institute spaces:
• Respectful communicationActive listening and constructive participation
• Recognition of power dynamics and systemic barriers
• Accountability for impact, not just intent
The following behaviors are not permitted:
• Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind
• Abusive, threatening, or demeaning language or conduct
• Disruption of facilitated spaces or learning environments
• Sharing confidential information without consent
• Misrepresentation of Women Work & Wealth Institute programs, staff, or scope of services
• Solicitation, marketing, or promotion without explicit permission
• Providing legal, financial, medical, or professional advice to other members
7. Boundaries and Scope of Support
Women Work & Wealth Institute provides education, preparation, coaching, facilitated learning, and systems navigation support only.
Women Work & Wealth Institute does not:
• Provide legal advice or representation
• Act on behalf of members in disputes or negotiations
• Intervene in workplace, union, or collective bargaining matters
• Provide financial, medical, or therapeutic services
Members acknowledge and respect these boundaries.
8. Confidentiality and Privacy
Members must respect the confidentiality of information shared within Women Work & Wealth Institute spaces.
Personal stories, experiences, or identifying information shared by others must not be disclosed outside Women Work & Wealth Institute programs without explicit consent.
Women Work & Wealth Institute handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
9. Use of Women Work & Wealth Institute Name and Materials
Members may not:
• Use Women Work & Wealth Institute’s name, logo, or materials for commercial purposes
• Represent themselves as speaking for or on behalf of Women Work & Wealth Institute
• Reproduce or distribute Women Work & Wealth Institute materials without permission
Permission for use must be obtained in writing from Women Work & Wealth Institute
10. Breaches and Enforcement
Women Work & Wealth Institute may take appropriate action in response to breaches of this policy, including:
• Verbal or written warnings
• Removal from a program, session, or event
• Suspension or termination of membership
• Restriction of access to Women Work & Wealth Institute platforms or services
Women Work & Wealth Institute reserves discretion in determining appropriate responses based on the nature and severity of the breach.
11. USE OF IMAGES AUDIO, AND LIKENESS
By participating in Women Work & Wealth Institute, referred to as Women Work & Wealth Institute, programs, events, workshops, or activities, members acknowledge and consent to the use of photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and other media in which they may appear, for the purpose of documenting, promoting, reporting on, and publicizing Women Work & Wealth Institute programs and activities.
Such materials may be used in Women Work & Wealth Institute communications, including websites, social media, reports, funding and impact materials, presentations, and other promotional or informational content. These materials will be used in a respectful and non exploitative manner consistent with Women Work & Wealth Institute’s mission and values.
Women Work & Wealth Institute will not intentionally identify individuals by name or disclose personal information in promotional materials without additional consent, where required by law. Members who do not wish to be photographed or recorded are encouraged to notify WWI staff in advance, and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate such requests.
12. Reporting Concerns
Members are encouraged to raise concerns regarding conduct, safety, or policy breaches with Women Work & Wealth Institute staff.
Women Work & Wealth Institute will handle reports seriously and, where possible, confidentially.
13. Amendments
Women Work & Wealth Institute may revise this Membership Policy and Code of Conduct from time to time. Updates will be communicated through the website or program materials. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
14. Agreement and Acknowledgment
By participating in Women Work & Wealth Institute programs or holding membership, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Membership Policy, Agreement, and Code of Conduct.
Anti-Spam Compliance and Electronic Communications
By providing your contact information and opting in, you consent to receive electronic communications from Women Work & Wealth Institute, referred to as Women Work & Wealth Institute, including emails related to programs, events, resources, membership updates, and organizational communications.
With your consent, you may also receive communications that highlight services, programs, or offerings from Women Work & Wealth Institute business members or allied partners. These communications are provided for informational purposes only.
You will always have the option to unsubscribe from Women Work & Wealth Institute communications at any time using the unsubscribe link included in our emails.
You may also choose to opt in separately to receive direct communications from Women Work & Wealth Institute business or affiliated members. These communications are optional and independent of your Women Work & Wealth Institute membership. If you terminate your Women Work & Wealth Institute membership, your participation in third party communications you opted into separately may continue unless you unsubscribe directly from those parties.
All member-to-member communications must comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. Each member is solely responsible for ensuring their own compliance with applicable anti-spam and privacy laws. Women Work & Wealth Institute does not monitor, control, or assume liability for communications sent directly between members.
We welcome reports of technical issues, errors, or suggestions that help improve our systems and communications.
15. PRIVACY RIGHTS AND ACCESS TO INFORMATION
In accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you have the right to request access to personal information held by Women Work & Wealth Institute about you.
Where permitted by law, Women Work & Wealth Institute reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee to cover costs associated with responding to an access request. You will be informed of any applicable fee in advance.
16. DISCLAIMER AND WARRANTIES
Your access to and use of the website and its content is entirely at your own risk.
The website and all content are provided on an as is and as available basis. While Women Work & Wealth Institute makes reasonable efforts to ensure that information is accurate and current, Women Work & Wealth Institute makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, except as expressly stated in this Agreement.

18. PRIVACY, ACCESS AND USE OF INFORMATION
Women Work & Wealth Institute collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including PIPEDA and, where applicable, FIPPA, particularly in relation to publicly funded programs, partnerships, or reporting obligations.
You have the right to request access to personal information held by Women Work & Wealth Institute about you, and to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Where permitted by law, Women Work & Wealth Institute may charge a reasonable fee to cover administrative costs associated with responding to an access request. You will be notified in advance of any applicable fee.
Personal information may be used in anonymized, aggregate form for research, reporting, evaluation, and policy advocacy purposes, in accordance with consent provided.
